Sports Premium
The Government’s Sports Premium Grant was funded initially for a two year period from 2013. It is designed to raise the profile of sports and healthy lifestyles for pupils, creating a legacy in schools.
Ofsted assess and report on how effectively this funding is being used to improve PE and sport provision making a judgement on the quality of Leadership and Management.
Schools are free to determine how best to use this funding to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport, so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels of which they are capable.
Knavesmire Primary School have used the money received in further raising the standard of our excellent sports provision. This includes:
- Additional excellent sports practitioners
- PE equipment
- Gymnastic resources
- Sports Kits for KS1 & KS2 teams
- Sports Partnership competition package
- Teacher CPD
- Extra sports clubs for pupils
